I’ve been struggling with selfies quite a bit. Not being a model, the proportions in my pictures always seemed off in a way that accelerated what’s already off proportion-wise in real life.
Then I came across this nugget of gold from one of my favorite bloggers, Tina Craig, aka @bagsnob. Click the link to watch:
It’s so genius and simple! Just follow these 3 easy steps:
1) Turn the phone upside down
This simple move shifts the position of the camera lens just enough to make your legs appear longer and your torso shorter in proportion. It’s absolutely genius! If you only do this you will already create significantly improved selfies.
2) Apply a filter
In her Instagram post, Tina recommends “Vivid”. Personally, I go back and forth between “Vivid” and “Vivid warm”.
3) Straighten the image and crop it just a bit
You’re all done!
I’m so happy with the outcome! In fact, I felt so encouraged by the results that I even dared to wear my favorite booties with my skirt -- something that is usually a no-no for me to do in pictures.
I’ll be using this trick every time from now on when taking selfies. Thank you, Tina, for sharing!
I hope you all will love it too❤️
P.S.: California just went into another lockdown, which feels quite unsettling with the holidays fast approaching. Please make sure to wear your face mask and stay safe! Whether you pick the simple drug store ones or prefer the sumptuous silk face masks we are offering, protect yourself and your loved ones!
